Bodega “La Mahala” – La Mahala: My personal favourite place to eat traditional food in old town, it is cheap and good. (the mici are perfect here)
Caru’ cu bere – Most beautiful place for traditional food, touristy and requires a table reservation in the evening. (the papanasi are perfect here and the smoked meat soup)
Terasa Obor – Cheap mici, cheap beer, BBC did a documentary about them.
NOUA. Bucătărie Românească – Reinterpreted Fancy Romanian food (they have a really cool tasting menu)

Level Up – Vegan traditional food (sarmale are worth a try)
Verv Kitchen – one of the better vegan vegetarian places in Bucharest
Bistro la Taifas – the place is having a good ambiance, tasty food and resonable prices.
Seed – Trending in the vegan circles as the best in Bucharest, a bit far but if you love food you will end up in Cotroceni, a hidden gem of Bucharest.

Crocant – Modern brunch with traditional ingredients (poached eggs are really good)
Frudisiac – Nordic style food but the shakshuka is amazing!

Beans&Dots Specialty Coffee Shop & Concept Store – Next to it there is a beautiful mural and it is a cool coworking space with really good coffee
FORMA Coffeshop & Art Gallery – I usually go here for the cocktails but the coffee is what sets them apart, also the atmosphere is cool.
Frog – Located in a historical building, on the path less travelled, it excels in baked goods and coffee

Pâine și Vin – They served pizza style food and wine, really tasty and really good wines, no reservations but it gets really crowded some days

Fabrica Grivița – you see how the beer is produced behind the glass and it’s the cheapest craft beer in a pub you can find, it is also next to the Chocolate museum

La Măria și Ion – Maria si Ion: during the day it is a restaurant and at night during the weekend they play live manele music or taraf style music.
Zadar Bar – Geobar – Small place with really good live music, you need to check inline on their site, but it ranges from electronic to jazz.
